Dear All,

Dear All,

Here’s my very personal view of the political situation in the US. Against all expectations, Donald Trump has  won the Republican primaries but a number of Americans don’t not understand why. From my point of view, it is extremely simple: the Congress, which took a majority seating in both the Chamber of Representatives and in the Senate did close to nothing to address major issues such as immigration, tax reform, terrorism, crime and violence, poverty, health care and more. The Republican arm of Congress has focused all its efforts to sabotage the presidency. The result? Americans are disappointed, disillusioned and angry. Voting for Trump or Clinton will not change this situation. Only a profound change in Congress accountability will give a chance for bipartisan agreement to address major issues and find negotiated solutions. This presidential election is not about Trump or Clinton. Bipartisanship is a must in a country divided roughly 50/50 between Republicans and Democrats. Both the Presidency and the Congress have a paramount responsibility to run this country on bipartisanship and reach consensus in a timely fashion.

OK. I fear that half of you will agree and half of you will disagree. Well …
